Alexandra Maria Lara has been an Romanian/German film and television actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for the roles she played in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra Maria Lara born as the only son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various TV dramas. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as Secretary Traudljunge, Adolf Hitler's secretary was also critically acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated movie featuring this actress. Alexandra has been involved in numerous notable national and international projects throughout her career. Some of these comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of the jury of the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
